Why I support traditional marriage.

So, the other day at work I asked one of my co-workers, what were his thoughts on gay marriage. He said, "I don't really care what they do."

He then asked me, "well, Jeremy, do you support gay marriage ?"

I said "I do not"

He asked "Why"

And that is why I am writing this blog post. Since my co-worker is unsure of his faith, he believes there is a God, but is not sure of anything else. I tried to explain why I was against Gay Marriage without going into my religious views( i.e. the bible condemning it,and the Prophet condemning it).

I told him, that not supporting gay Marriages was logical, and reasonable as far as I could tell. For if I supported it, where could I draw the line. If I supported gay marriages, then I would have no moral high ground to fight against anything else.

How can you claim to deny a Man (or Woman) multiple wifes (or husbands) if, you let gays get married, because "they loved each other"? they love each other?!?

How can you deny, a man who wants to marry his dog the "right" to do so if they both love each other? To most Atheists (most of whom are Pro gay) what is the difference between man and a dog
's right to marry if they are in love and two men?

At what grounds do you deny a man, to marry his own kid? (Say a 12 year old girl) If you say, "well, she is to young, she can't choose for herself", then, what would you tell Obama's Science Czar who says, we (the government) should have the right, to abort kids, until they become people? They are only considered people once they can make all choices for themselves.

So what do you tell the man who wants to marry his daughter? you can't abort that 12 year old girl, she can choose on her own, but she can't choose to marry her own dad?

The fact is, unless you draw the line at gay marriage, THERE IS NO MORAL HIGH GROUND. There is no logic, or reasoning to prevent sociality from slipping into utter whoredom, and abominations. I draw the line at Marriage between a man and a woman, not only because it is my religious belief, but because it is the last logical, sensible, and moral battle before the edge of the canyon wall(which once we go over, there is no coming back).

Join me in supporting traditional marriage, between one man, and one woman.
